Refreshing your home for 2020.

New year, new home? Many of us have made new year resolutions and if one of yours is to refresh your home, then you’re in the right place. We’ve put together a few simple ideas that could help you to transform your home this year, without breaking the bank. Let’s get into it.

Curtains & Blinds

Your curtains and blinds work hard for you in all rooms. They block out the light and sound when needed and keep the heat in when it’s cold outside. They also often span the width of a wall when drawn and can have a huge influence on a room. That is why, changing your curtains and blinds are the ultimate quick fix for any room!

Pick a new colour

Changing the colour of a room can be a quick and fairly easy way to spruce things up. Not only are the end results pretty clear, it’s also much easier than deciding to wallpaper! We know deciding on a colour isn’t always the easiest decision, but the process itself is simple and, when done neatly, can look amazing!

Revamp soft furnishings

Probably the easiest way of freshening up a room is to revamp your soft furnishings. If money is an obstacle, simply washing all of your cushion covers, blankets, throws, sofa covers (if you can) and having a deep clean of a room is a great way to start.

If you do have some money to spare, purchasing new cushion covers and soft furnishings is a great way to give your home a new, cosy feel. Match them up with your new chosen colour, or as a secondary accent colour and you’ll feel like you’ve move into a new home!

Rugs!

Finally, and probably our favourite, using rugs is a great way to bring a whole new feel to a room. Not only can you use them to change the colour of a room, but they also provide an additional texture to a room, giving it more depth. Rugs are also a great room warmer, which will be key as we move into the coldest months of the year.

And there you have it. Four, simple, cheap and easy ways you can revamp your home moving into 2020. If the fourth option caught your eye, get in touch and we can help you source the perfect rug for your home.
