Natural Fibres:

Inspired by nature, natural flooring creates all sorts of different textures that add depth and interest to an interior. Floor coverings made in natural fibres are often favoured by interior designers.

Coir is made from the strong fibres of the coconut husk. The natural fibres are removed by hand and softened in sea water so that they can be woven into a selection of designs. Coir is both durable and good value and is popular for rugs and mats.

Jute gives a tweedy look and is soft underfoot. It comes from the stalk of the giant corchorus plant. The natural fibres are fine and homely, making jute more suitable to relaxing rooms rather than heavy use areas.

Seagrass grows in coastal meadows on the banks of rovers in tropical climates. The natural fibre is harvested by hand, dried and hand spun into cors before being woven into beautiful textural flooring.

Sisal comes from the Agave Sisalana Plant. The lustrous sisal fibre is woven into beautifully stylish carpets and rugs for the contemporary home. It is versatile and hard wearing and is an ideal choice for hallways and stairs.
